Trained volunteer counselors help Medicare beneficiaries sort through the complexities of Medicare and reated health insurance concerns.

Legacy Link is designated by the GA Department of Human Services as the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for the thirteen county region including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union and White Counties. The following programs are provided through sub-contracts with local governments and agencies or offered directly by Legacy Link: Senior Centers provide hot noon meals, home delivered meals,recreation,transportation, outreach and educational opportunities. Other programs include Wellness, Employment and Training for Older Workers- Homemaker & Personal Care- Long Term Care Ombudsman- Lifelong Planning Program- Community Care Services Program that provides case management for low income, frail persons in 13 counties- Retired & Senior Volunteer Program- Elderly Legal Services- Georgia Cares Program that provides counseling on Medicare, Medicaid, supplemental insurance, prescription drug programs.

Services include Home Care Program, Nutrition Programs, (Home Delivered Meals, Congregate Meals, Nutritional Counseling),Family Caregiver Support Program, Adult Family Care, Referrals only; Congregate and Supportive Housing, Nursing Home Ombudsman Program,transportation,legal,LTC,Financial, Options Counseling, Respite & home Modification.
