Description:
A division of the Piedmont Triad Regional Council, the Area Agency on Aging is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and coordinating aging services for a region representing 195,000 residents age 60+ in the seven counties of the Piedmont Triad (Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph, Rockingham, Surry, Stokes, Yadkin). It is a part of a larger aging network created by the Older Americans Act of 1965 dedicated to improving the lives of older Americans nationwide.
